    “Starting tomorrow [Friday], the esthetic nightmare that is hashtags will be banned from ads on X,” Musk wrote in a put up early Thursday morning.

    Under the put up, one person requested Musk’s synthetic intelligence (AI) chatbot, Grok whether or not it recommends use of hashtags for different posts. The chatbot mentioned hashtags are nonetheless helpful for normal posts.

    “They [hashtags] boost visibility and engagement,” Grok wrote, including a variety of suggestions on easy methods to use hashtags to maximise attain.

    “While Elon Musk has criticized hashtags, data supports their effectiveness for regular posts,” Grok mentioned.

    Since buying the platform previously often called Twitter in 2022, Musk has repeatedly criticized using hashtags. The change comes simply months after Musk informed customers to “please stop using hashtags.”
