A number of thousand customers reported issues with Outlook on Thursday morning, as Microsoft acknowledged that customers may need points accessing their mailbox.
Greater than 2,700 customers have been reporting issues as of 11:45 a.m. ET, with points initially rising Wednesday night time, in keeping with Downdetector.
Microsoft stated early Thursday morning that it had decided the reason for the issue and was deploying a repair.
The tech large famous on its service well being web page that it anticipated the repair to take an “extended period,” though a later replace urged it was “progressing quicker than anticipated.”
“We’re continuing to apply the configuration changes to fix the underlying problem and completing additional validation efforts to ensure authentication components are properly configured,” Microsoft stated in its most up-to-date replace.
“In parallel to the current deployment of the configuration change fix, we’re reviewing options to leverage an expedited deployment methodology in regions which are experiencing the highest levels of impact to provide the most effective relief where possible,” it added.
