    WASHINGTON — California’s lawmakers urged their leaders in Congress on Friday to proceed funding federal support within the wake of the L.A. fires, amid a congressional finances battle and questions on potential situations being imposed by the Trump administration.

    Their letter — signed by all 54 Home and Senate members — marks the newest step in a months-long political struggle to make sure California retains getting the cash it wants to wash up the destruction and rebuild after the devastating wildfires in January.
