With Superman debuting in July, audiences are about to fulfill the primary of a number of DC Universe Inexperienced Lanterns. Performed by Nathan Fillion, this Inexperienced Lantern is Man Gardner, arguably the cockiest, most brash of the bunch. Man is poised to be at odds with Superman/Clark Kent (David Corenswet) relating to heroics, and he may even come nose to nose with the title character in Peacemaker season two. Along with Man, the DCU can also be introducing Aaron Pierre as John Stewart and Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan in HBO’s Lanterns.
In an look on the DC Studios Showcase podcast, Gunn dished on his plans for the DCU and particularly the Inexperienced Lantern Corps. James Gunn: “Oh, yes, I did. I did. […] Remember, Nathan Fillion is one of my best friends. You think I’m not going to give him the ugliest haircut known to man?”
Although Gunn quipped about purposefully making his good friend put on a horrible wig, Fillion’s earlier statements make it clear he was completely in favor of donning Man’s comic-accurate ‘do. In a unique episode of the DC Studios Podcast, he addressed the horrible haircut: “There was some talk about some different types of things we were going to go… I was team bowl cut the whole way. It’s canon. It’s set. I said, ‘If we don’t do a bowl cut, we’re going to hear about it.”

After Seeing The DCU’s Latest Inexperienced Lantern Second, I Genuinely Assume Man Gardner Simply Grew to become My Favorite DC Universe Hero Already
Man Gardner has featured closely in promo materials for Superman, and one second in a current teaser now makes me assume he is my new favourite DC hero.
No matter which story is extra correct, their dedication to bringing Man Gardner from web page to display is obvious. Gunn has been clear about his intention to duplicate the texture of DC Comics, and a giant a part of that’s the aesthetic.
